ECO-FRIENDLY LUNCH PREP

The kids have been loving their new Planetbox lunches this school year!  They get to buy a warm lunch at school once a week (and🍨) if they choose to.  😉  However the rest of the week we do the best we can to pack a variety of healthy, satisfying options and teach the kids positive eating habits. Also getting the kids involved in food shopping and making their lunch, helps get them vested in eating well and more likely to eat the meals you make.  It’s all about BALANCE.

Here are some ideas!

•  Fruits for antioxidants- blueberries, cantaloupe, peaches, grapes, strawberries, bananas
• Crunchy foods - veggie sticks, cashews, walnuts (🧠 food!)
• Protein & Fiber - Whole Wheat sandwich with Boars Head Turkey Breast  or JennieO Applewood Smoked Chicken & Cheese, ZBAR snacks to fuel their afternoon 
• Better Treats - Back to Nature cookies or Annie's organic grahams
• Hydrating Drinks - Fruitables fruit & veggie juice boxes (way LESS SUGAR than apple     juice), or ZERO Water in a reusable steel bottle
