After the fireworks, the cookout, sweet treats, and swimming...I sit here thinking what today represents. What does freedom mean. To each of us it may look different, but the common thread is that it can not be achieved in fear.
243 years ago our great American heroes found unwavering bravery to fight for our independence from the monarch of Britain. Key figures we celebrate and unsung heroes stood apart from the rest, leaving fear in the wind. Because of their bravery we celebrate our Independence.
What does freedom look like to me?
💫To have health
💫To have options to choose
💫To have time to explore our passions
💫No limitations to achieve greatness
💫To say YES instead of NO
💫To rid ourselves of negative people, energy, and influences
💫To embrace the present
💫To not be haunted by our past
💫To not fear the future
💫To do what we love
💫To remove the chains that keep us from doing God’s work
💫To find love and release what is not serving us
💫To heal a lifetime of wounds
💫To find purpose and use our given talents
This is freedom.

With all the noise in our lives, we have to remember to empty our buckets to find balance....otherwise we’ll overflow and have no room to fill up with the good.
As I have the house all to myself doing routine chores, it’s a chance to get a jumpstart on the weekend, with Alexa serenading me. 🎶 Find pleasure in the mundane.
It may not be glamorous but certainly is therapeutic....have you emptied your bucket lately?
Life gets busy for us all....to the point where we could easily lose ourselves in the chaos of balancing work, school, money, expenses, expectations, childhood wounds, physical stresses and everything else that crosses our path.
We must remember to set aside time to be intentional and present with ourselves. In these moments I remember what a wise friend once taught me. To practice self-love daily; to give grace and be gentle with ourselves thru this journey of life.
Balance, Authenticity, Truth, Love, Healing, Embracing, Solutions, Sacrifice, Purpose. These principles drive me daily.
